Barcelona Coach Zorg Reflects on Defeat to Leganes
Barcelona’s coach Marcus Zorg shared his thoughts on the team’s unexpected loss to Leganes in the 17th round of the Spanish La Liga championship.
“We didn’t perform at our best today. The main issue was our lack of focus in the opening minutes. It’s difficult to comprehend this defeat. We conceded an early goal and despite creating numerous chances, we failed to score. Without finding the net, it’s challenging to secure a victory,” Zorg explained.
He continued, “We need to learn from this experience. Barcelona has played several demanding matches in recent days, which is something the team isn’t accustomed to. We need to work on improving our endurance and adaptability.”
This loss marks Barcelona’s third defeat in their last six La Liga matches. The team currently holds the top position in the league table with 38 points, tied with Atletico Madrid, who have a game in hand. Leganes, with 18 points, sits in 15th place.
Barcelona’s next challenge will be against second-placed Atletico Madrid. The highly anticipated match is scheduled for December 21st at Camp Nou, with kick-off at 23:00 Moscow time.
