Atalanta CEO Luca Percassi has highlighted the extraordinary partnership between the club and head coach Gian Piero Gasperini, which has led to unprecedented success for both parties over the past nine years.

Speaking ahead of Atalanta’s match against Empoli, Percassi emphasized the importance of maintaining their current form, as the team is on a club-record streak of 10 consecutive league victories. He noted that with other teams also performing well, Atalanta must continue to accumulate points to maintain their position at the top of the table.

Percassi described the relationship between Atalanta and Gasperini as a “unique synergy” that has allowed both the club and the coach to achieve levels of success they had never experienced before. He attributed this success to a day-by-day approach and continued development with great humility.

The CEO also highlighted the club’s growth, partly due to investments from Stephen Pagliuca and Antonio Percassi. He mentioned that multiple factors contribute to Atalanta’s current high standing in Italian football.

Percassi praised Bergamo, Atalanta’s home city, describing it as small but well-maintained and beautiful. He noted that many players choose to return and settle in Bergamo even after leaving the club, a testament to the city’s appeal.
