Arsenal eyeing January swoop for £100m-rated Premier League attacker

Arsenal are reportedly considering making a January move for West Ham United forward Mohammed Kudus as they look to strengthen their attacking options. The Gunners have struggled to score goals from open play in recent Premier League matches and see Kudus as a potential solution.

According to reports, West Ham could be open to selling Kudus in January if they receive a substantial offer. The 24-year-old Ghana international has a £85 million release clause in his contract, but this only becomes active in the summer transfer window. As a result, Arsenal may need to offer around £100 million to convince West Ham to part ways with Kudus mid-season.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is keen to add more creativity and goal threat to his squad. The team has relied heavily on set-pieces for goals recently, failing to score from open play in the league since late November. Kudus is seen as the type of “X-factor” player who could unlock stubborn defenses.

West Ham teammate Aaron Cresswell has praised Kudus as a “top, top talent”, highlighting his strength, speed and sharpness. The versatile attacker has impressed since joining West Ham in the summer and is attracting interest from several top clubs.

While the potential transfer fee is substantial, Arsenal view Kudus as a player who could make an immediate impact and help their push for the Premier League title. The Gunners will likely face competition for his signature, but appear ready to make a significant January investment to boost their attacking options.
