Amorim Puts Two More Manchester United Players on Transfer List Along with Rashford

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim is reportedly planning a squad overhaul, with two more players now available for transfer in January alongside Marcus Rashford.

Latest on Rashford Transfer

After nearly 10 years with United’s first team, Rashford has stated his wish to depart the club. The 27-year-old forward made this surprising announcement in a recent interview, just days after being left out of the squad for the Manchester derby.

“I feel ready for a new challenge at this point in my career,” Rashford stated. “When I do leave, there will be no hard feelings. I won’t make any negative comments about Manchester United – that’s just who I am as a person. I’ve seen how other players have left in the past and I don’t want to be like that. I’ll make a proper statement when the time comes.”

Since this revelation, Rashford has been omitted from United’s squads for matches against Tottenham and Bournemouth, both of which ended in defeat for Amorim’s team.

Several clubs are already expressing interest in Rashford, including Barcelona, who have reportedly submitted a £35 million bid for an initial loan in January followed by a permanent transfer in the summer.

Amorim Prepared to Part Ways with Two More First-Team Players

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, both Christian Eriksen and Victor Lindelof have now been made available for transfer in January alongside Rashford.

The two players, whose contracts run until 2025, were given rare starts in the recent EFL Cup match against Tottenham. However, neither appear to be part of Amorim’s future plans. The Portuguese manager, who has final say on contract extensions at Old Trafford, is reportedly unconvinced by their performances thus far.

“Both Eriksen and Lindelof could be available in the January transfer window, though there are no concrete offers yet,” Romano reported.

Eriksen, 32, is drawing interest from several clubs, including his former team Ajax and Scottish league leaders Celtic. Meanwhile, Lindelof, who is 30, has attracted attention from clubs in Turkey and Italy, as well as Premier League sides like Leicester City, managed by former United interim boss Ruud van Nistelrooy.

Offloading Lindelof and Eriksen, who collectively earn £270,000 per week, would help United comply with the Premier League’s profit and sustainability regulations.
