AC Milan Faces Injury Crisis Before Verona Match
AC Milan’s injury troubles continue to mount as the team prepares for their upcoming Serie A fixture against Verona on Friday, December 20th at 20:45. Following Christian Pulisic’s absence, coach Paulo Fonseca now faces additional challenges with two more players sidelined.
Yunus Musah will be unavailable for the Verona match due to a flexor muscle issue. The midfielder is expected to return for the game against Roma at the end of December. The situation is more serious for Noah Okafor, who sustained a calf muscle injury (first-degree lesion of the right calf’s soleus muscle) in the closing minutes of the match against Genoa. Okafor will be reassessed in 10 days but is certain to miss the Verona game and could be out of action for up to a month.
To address these setbacks, Fonseca is likely to rely on Chukwueze on the right wing. Several youth team players, including Jimenez, Liberali, and Camarda, are expected to be included in the squad. There’s also a possibility of a first-team call-up for Filippo Scotti, a young right-winger from Milan’s Primavera team.
These injuries present a significant challenge for AC Milan as they aim to maintain their competitive edge in the Serie A championship race.
