Juventus CFO Giuntoli Discusses Transfer Strategy and Team’s Progress
Cristiano Giuntoli, Chief Football Officer of Juventus, recently spoke to DAZN before the Turin derby, addressing the club’s transfer strategy and overall progress. Giuntoli emphasized the team’s focus on strengthening the defensive line while remaining open to opportunities in other areas.
When asked about the possibility of acquiring a defender earlier, Giuntoli explained, “We must consider various economic and technical parameters. It’s more challenging to move significant players in January, so we need to exercise patience.”
Regarding the transfer market, Giuntoli revealed that Juventus is primarily looking abroad due to limited options within Italy. He also commented on rumors surrounding players like Araujo and Kolo Muani, stating, “They’re both talented players. The transfer market is now entering a crucial phase, and we hope for positive developments in the coming week.”
Discussing the team’s current season, Giuntoli acknowledged the constant scrutiny Juventus faces: “Juventus is always under examination. We’re aware that we’ve started from scratch with a young team, embarking on a virtuous path. We believe that we’ll soon return to being protagonists and competitive in the league.”
