Everton and Dyche Aim to Strengthen Squad with Right-Back and Winger Additions in January
According to recent reports, Everton and manager Sean Dyche have identified right-back and winger as key positions to reinforce during the upcoming January transfer window. While major spending is unlikely, the club hopes to bring in cover at right-back for the remainder of the season, as well as add an attacking wide player to the squad.
The interest in a right-back signing stems from the need to provide support for veteran Seamus Coleman, who at 36 years old requires more rest between matches. Meanwhile, Nathan Patterson has seen limited playing time this season due to injuries.
On the attacking front, bringing in a right-sided winger could complement Iliman Ndiaye, who has been impressive on the left flank. Former Chelsea player Hakim Ziyech has been mentioned as a potential target who could make an immediate impact in the final third if signed.
While Everton may face financial constraints, Dyche is keen to add depth in these priority areas to help the club in their fight against relegation. The manager recognizes the need for reinforcements, even if wholesale changes to the squad are not feasible at this stage.
As the January window approaches, Everton supporters will be eager to see if the club can secure the right-back and winger additions that Dyche believes are crucial for the second half of the season. Even a couple of shrewd signings could provide a significant boost to Everton’s Premier League survival hopes.
