Serie A: Venezia Claims Important 2-1 Win Against Cagliari in Relegation Struggle

Venezia secured a crucial 2-1 victory over fellow relegation battlers Cagliari at the Stadio Penzo, thanks to goals from Francesco Zampano and Marin Sverko. The win lifts Venezia off the bottom of the Serie A table and boosts their survival hopes.

Despite Cagliari dominating possession and chances early on, it was Venezia who took the lead against the run of play in the 39th minute. Gaetano Oristanio’s cross found Zampano, who slotted home from close range.
