Antonio Silva Expresses Interest in Joining Juventus, Confirms Agent Jorge Mendes
Jorge Mendes, the agent representing Antonio Silva, has confirmed that the young Portuguese defender is keen on transferring to Juventus during the January window. Mendes stated to Italian media: “Juventus is interested in Antonio Silva, and the feeling is mutual.”
However, Mendes emphasized that Benfica will have the final say in any potential transfer. “We must be patient and see how things unfold. The transfer window hasn’t opened yet, but Antonio would certainly welcome a move to Juventus,” he explained.
Juventus is currently in search of defensive reinforcements due to long-term injuries to key players Gleison Bremer and Juan Cabal. The club sees Silva as a promising option to strengthen their backline.
Regarding another of his clients, Francisco Conceiçao, who is currently on loan at Juventus from Porto, Mendes expressed optimism about his future with the Italian giants. “Francisco is very happy in Turin, and the club is pleased with his performance. I hope this relationship continues for many years to come,” Mendes said.
While Juventus doesn’t have an outright purchase option for Conceiçao, there is an agreement in place that would allow them to sign the 22-year-old for €30 million at the end of the season. The young Portuguese player has already contributed three goals and five assists in 18 appearances across all competitions this season.
