AC Milan considers Mosquera as Tomori attracts interest from top clubs
According to reports, AC Milan is considering a move for Valencia’s young defender Cristhian Mosquera. This comes as their current center-back Fikayo Tomori has drawn interest from several top clubs, potentially paving the way for a January transfer.
Juventus, Napoli and at least three Premier League teams, including West Ham, are said to be monitoring Tomori’s situation. The English defender has seen his playing time reduced at Milan this season, prompting speculation about his future.
Milan has identified 20-year-old Mosquera as a potential replacement should Tomori depart. However, the Italian club will only pursue negotiations with Valencia if Tomori is sold first.
Valencia’s asking price of around €25 million for Mosquera is reportedly within Milan’s budget. However, talks may not progress quickly as Valencia is currently battling relegation in La Liga and may be reluctant to sell a key player mid-season.
At the same time, Valencia’s need to improve their financial situation could motivate them to consider offers for Mosquera. The young Spaniard’s salary demands are also said to be in line with Milan’s wage structure.
As the January transfer window approaches, Milan will be weighing their options carefully. The potential departure of Tomori and arrival of Mosquera could significantly reshape their defensive lineup for the second half of the season.
