Wolves Eye Loan Move for Commanding Center-Back
Wolverhampton Wanderers are considering a loan-to-buy arrangement to bring Lens defender Kevin Danso to Molineux this January. New manager Vitor Pereira is keen to shore up Wolves’ leaky defense as they battle relegation.
Sources indicate Lens may be open to a temporary deal that could become permanent if Wolves avoid the drop. The French club needs to balance their books, while Danso is reportedly interested in returning to the Premier League.
The 26-year-old Austrian international has been a key player for Lens this season, starting every match when fit. Described as “big, strong and powerful,” Danso could help address Wolves’ vulnerability on set pieces – they’ve conceded twice as many set-piece goals as any other Premier League side.
While other English clubs are also interested, Wolves are currently frontrunners for Danso’s signature. With the team desperately needing defensive reinforcements to climb the table, pursuing a deal for the commanding center-back should be a priority for Pereira and the Wolves hierarchy.
