Brazilian club submits £16m+ January bid for Fulham midfielder Andreas Pereira
Fulham may struggle to retain one of their key players as reports emerge of a substantial offer for midfielder Andreas Pereira ahead of the January transfer window.
The Cottagers have impressed in the Premier League this season, currently sitting 9th in the table after losing just once in their last nine matches. Their strong performances have attracted interest in some of their standout players.
Brazilian club Palmeiras has reportedly made a £16.5 million bid for Pereira, which could rise to £18.2 million. This follows Fulham’s rejection of an earlier player-plus-cash offer from Palmeiras.
Fulham are said to be holding out for around £25 million for the creative midfielder. However, Palmeiras remain optimistic about reaching an agreement.
Pereira has been one of Fulham’s top performers this season, ranking 6th in the Premier League for shot-creating actions per 90 minutes. Manager Marco Silva previously described him as “outstanding” after signing him in 2022.
With Pereira’s contract running until 2026, Fulham may look to cash in soon while his value remains high. The Brazilian’s potential departure would be a significant loss for Silva’s side given his creative influence.
As the January window approaches, Fulham face a difficult decision over whether to retain their star midfielder or accept a lucrative offer from Brazil.
