Manchester United Supporter Dismayed by Latest Injury News Concerning £250k-per-week Star

Manchester United enthusiast and social media personality Mark Goldbridge has expressed his frustration following the announcement of Mason Mount’s latest injury setback. This development presents yet another challenge for the club’s new manager, Ruben Amorim.

Amorim’s tenure at Old Trafford has gotten off to a rocky start. A recent 3-0 home defeat to Bournemouth left Manchester United in 13th place in the Premier League table – the lowest position the club has ever occupied during the holiday season. While the team has shown some promise in Europa League matches, their domestic form remains a concern.

Adding to the club’s woes, it has been revealed that Mount, a key midfield acquisition, will be sidelined until March due to a severe hamstring injury. The former Chelsea player lasted only 12 minutes in the match against Manchester City before being forced off the pitch, visibly distressed by the situation.

Upon his arrival, Amorim had highlighted Mount as a potential cornerstone in the club’s resurgence, stating: “I have a great affinity for Mason Mount. His desire to succeed is evident, which is crucial from my perspective. His familiarity with our system makes him an ideal fit. I envision two positions where Mason can excel, so he should be pleased with his prospects.”

However, the latest medical update confirms that Mount will be absent for “several weeks,” with some reports suggesting he may not return to action until March.

This news proved too much for Goldbridge, who took to social media to express his disappointment, simply posting “forget it” in response to the injury announcement.

Mount still has nearly four years remaining on his £250,000 per week contract at Old Trafford. However, he has yet to deliver a string of performances that justify his substantial transfer fee and wages since joining from Chelsea. With this latest setback, there are concerns that he may struggle to establish himself under the new management.
