Amorim Asks INEOS to Acquire Top Striker as Man Utd Ready £62m Bid
According to reports, Manchester United’s new manager Ruben Amorim has personally requested that INEOS pursue the signing of star striker Victor Osimhen. The Nigerian forward, currently on loan at Galatasaray, has a £62 million release clause that United are reportedly willing to trigger.
Amorim is looking to revamp the squad he inherited, with Spanish sources indicating he wants to rebuild while offloading underperforming players. The manager sees Osimhen as a key target to bolster United’s struggling attack.
With Marcus Rashford’s future uncertain after being left out of the Manchester derby squad, a new striker is a priority for the January transfer window. Osimhen has impressed in Turkey this season, scoring 7 goals in 10 appearances for Galatasaray.
The 24-year-old established himself as one of Europe’s top forwards during his time at Napoli. His clinical finishing and physical presence could provide the spark United’s attack has been missing this campaign.
While Chelsea and PSG are also interested, United appear to be frontrunners for Osimhen’s signature. His potential arrival in January would be a major statement of intent from the new manager and ownership as they look to turn around a disappointing season so far.
With just 18 goals scored in 17 Premier League games, United desperately need more firepower up front. The prolific Osimhen could be the ideal solution to ignite their attack and push them back up the table in the second half of the season.
