Fiorentina Eyes Calvert-Lewin for January Transfer: Possible Reunion with Kean in Serie A
Italian media reports suggest that Fiorentina is setting its sights on Everton’s striker and former England international Dominic Calvert-Lewin as the January transfer window approaches.
Calvert-Lewin, who has been with Everton since 2016, is entering the final 18 months of his contract, which expires at the end of the 2024-25 season. With no signs of a contract renewal, Fiorentina is considering a move to bring the English forward to Florence as early as January.
The Serie A transfer window opens on January 2 and closes at midnight on February 3, giving Fiorentina a month to potentially secure Calvert-Lewin’s services.
Calvert-Lewin enjoyed his most prolific Premier League seasons under Italian manager Carlo Ancelotti at Everton. He netted 13 league goals in 26 appearances during the 2019-20 season and improved to 16 goals in 33 matches the following year.
Interestingly, Calvert-Lewin is familiar with Fiorentina’s current starting striker, Moise Kean. The two were teammates at Everton between 2019 and 2023, although Kean spent three of those seasons on loan at Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus.
If the transfer materializes, it could see Calvert-Lewin and Kean reunited in Serie A, potentially forming a formidable attacking partnership for Fiorentina.
