UEFA Conference League Playoff Draw Results Announced

The UEFA Conference League playoff draw has been completed following the conclusion of the group stage. While the top eight teams from the group stage automatically advance to the round of 16, this draw determines the matchups for the round of 32, which will decide the opponents for the teams already qualified for the round of 16.

Teams finishing 9th to 24th in the group stage will compete in a preliminary round. Those ranked 9th to 16th will face teams ranked 17th to 24th, with the higher-ranked teams playing the second leg at home. The eight victorious clubs from these playoff eliminations will progress to the round of 16. The playoff matchups are as follows:

• Molde vs Shamrock Rovers
• Celje vs Apoel FC
• Omonia vs Pafos
• Vikíngur vs Panathinaikos
• FK Borac vs Olimpija
• KAA Gent vs Real Betis
• Copenhagen vs Heidenheim

The playoff first leg matches are scheduled for February 13, 2025, with return legs on February 20, 2025.

Real Betis is the sole Spanish representative in the UEFA Conference League. Manuel Pellegrini’s side, finishing 15th, will face KAA Gent in the playoff round, with the return leg to be played in Seville.

Chelsea, Guimaraes, Fiorentina, Rapid Vienna, Djurgarden, Lugano, Legia Warsaw, and Cercle Brugge have already secured their places in the round of 16 and await their opponents.
