Pereira Can Revive Wolves’ Season by Bringing Back In-Form Striker

Wolverhampton Wanderers have struggled this season, sitting 19th in the Premier League with just 9 points from 15 games. The club recently appointed Vitor Pereira as their new manager to try and turn things around.

One move Pereira could make is to recall striker Fabio Silva from his loan at Las Palmas. The 22-year-old has impressed in La Liga this season, scoring 5 goals and providing 2 assists in 12 appearances.

Silva joined Wolves for £35.6 million in 2020 but has yet to make his mark at Molineux. However, he seems to have found form in Spain, with one scout describing him as a “joy to watch”.

Reports suggest Las Palmas cannot afford to keep Silva beyond this season due to his high wages. This presents an opportunity for Pereira to bring the striker back into the Wolves fold.

Statistically, Silva has performed well in La Liga:
– 0.51 goals per 90 minutes (82nd percentile)
– 1.32 shots on target per 90 (85th percentile)
– 54.2% shots on target (96th percentile)

If Pereira can help Silva translate this form to the Premier League, it could provide a big boost to Wolves’ survival hopes. The new manager has a chance to revive both Silva’s Wolves career and the club’s fortunes this season.
